Our Classes
Happy New Year! We're beginning 2012 with Puppy Class and Novice Class, both starting January 15th. ALSO our new agility class will be starting Jan 15th as well! Please
see the class schedules below.
There
is a CLASS SIGN-UP & PAYMENT link after each class description below.
Puppy and Novice classes will be held at 2Hands4Paws, 2240 Federal Ave, West Los Angeles. Agility classes will be held at Burton Chace Park in Marina Del Rey.
PUPPY
CLASS Next
Class Sunday Morning, January 15th, 9:30 am to 10:30 am, with
Lynn Medlin (dates
subject to change due to weather)
DEVELOPING A GOOD RELATIONSHIP
requires the attention of both you and your puppy. All puppies
must have had their third set of shots. Our class will cover
the basics of obedience, safety, socialization, housetraining,
manners and a number of behavioral issues. It is our ultimate
goal to inspire confidence in both the puppy and the handler. This is a 6 week class.

Requirements: For puppies 3 to 6 months old. Please make sure puppy has
had three sets of shots.

NOVICE
CLASS Next
Class Sunday Morning, January 15th, 10:30 am to 11:30 am, with
Lynn Medlin (dates
subject to change due to weather)
Novice Class is for dogs 7-months
and older. This is a beginning level class which includes
the fundamentals of “good manners” such as Sit,
Down, Stay, Come – Walking nicely on leash and Street
Boundary training. Our goal here is to inspire both handler
and dog to interact confidently out in the community. This
is a
6 week class and
great to take with your children.

Dog must be 7 months or older

Novice Class is for dogs 7-months
and older. A continuation of training for practical
obedience. Besides being an aid for interacting with your
dog on a daily basis, this can also prepare you for obedience
competition, if you wish to take that path. Plus, we'll have
some fun. This
is a
6 week class.

Dog-to-dog aggression is one
of the most difficult behavioral problems to tackle. That
is because various factors may be involved. Early trauma,
genetically inherited characteristics and learned behavior
are some of the possible causes.
Because it can take a considerable amount of time for a dog
to change how he/she feels about other dogs and people, frustration
on the part of the owner, can come into play during the training
process. Patience, practice and
a positive attitude are necessary to achieve success.
This
is a
6 week class.
